Brooklyn Guard Stepping Up

Next on the horizon for Bishop Loughlin HS in Brooklyn, NY this fall is rising senior Adrien Nunez ‘17. The 6’5” guard has stepped up his game this summer on the court with his travel team Born Ready Elite and already has garnered a ton of new interest.

The Brooklyn native by way of the Dominican Republic played this summer with his AAU team and is reaping rewards now. “Currently he has interest from Boston University, Columbia, Old Dominion, Princeton, Quinnipiac and Rider University. He attended Hoop Group Elite Session 1 July 5-8 Albright College Reading, PA as well as competing with us during the July live period,” said Born Ready Coach Hassani Stewart.

On point academically, Nunez is above board. “Adrien already scored over 1200 on the SAT and holds 94 GPA,” said Stewart.

Nunez’s role on Loughlin will increase this upcoming fall season said Stewart, “Ed Gonzalez(Loughlin head coach) is looking to really increase his role this year at Bishop Loughlin. He supports the fact that Adrien has come into his own by gaining some experience while playing with us this year.”

With the July live period in full swing Nunez will be on the road for the rest of the month with his Born Ready Elite team. Born Ready will play in Elevate Hoops Summer Showdown July 9-10 Philadelphia PA, NERR Big Apple Showcase July 13-14 Ardsley NY, Elevate Hoops Summer Hoop Fest July 15-17 Ardsley NY, and Las Vegas Classic July 20-24 Las Vegas NV.
