Three More Raising Champions Seniors Commits

As the Raising Champions embark on their summer season, quite a few players have already made decisions with regard to what they will be doing next season.

Two have made commitments this week while others have opted for Post-Grad. spoke with team’s program director, Hasani Stewart, to get updates.

Will Davis signed with Saint Michaels College in Vermont,” said Stewart. “He chose them over Adelphi, Bloomfield College, Dowling, Johnson & Wales and Division one, Mercy University in Macon County, GA.” Davis, a 6’0″ combo guard attended Holy Cross HS (Flushing).

Another commitment according to Stewart is Harley Borish, a 6-2 senior combo guard from Peddie School. “[Borish] has decided to attend University of Michigan where he has been invited to tryout as a walk-on,” Stewart said.

Stewart said that Borish chose Michigan over Brown University, Dartmouth College, Occidental College, Rider, Tufts, University of Indiana and the Wisconsin University

Stefon Williams 6-7 2012 Kent School signed with Southern Connecticut University

“We’re very excited about these commitments as we now have players represent our program in two great conference for 2012-2013 College Basketball Season. Harley in the Big Ten, Stefon and Will in the Northeast 10,” Stewart added

Stewart also notified of players that have opted to do a year of post-grad. They are as follows:

Joel Angus Jr. 6-5 (Boys & Girls HS) – Post Grad at Putnam Science Academy
Mairega Clarke 6-5 (Holy Cross HS) – Post Grad at Putnam Science Academy
Marquise Moore 6-2 (Holy Cross HS) – Post Grad TBA.

Earlier in the month, the New York based AAU squad had one of their players commit to a D-1 school when Cavon Baker chose to go to Florida Atlantic under head coach Mike Jarvis
