A week ago, Evan Conti was unsure as to whether he was going to even have the opportunity to go to a D-1 school like his peers.
The tide seems to have turned for the senior from Holy Cross HS (Flushing, NY) after an unlikely chain of events, suddenly gave the guard options. Conti spoke with NYCHoops.net on Monday after his official visit to Wyoming.
Conti said that his weekend visit the Mountain West conference school went well. “The official visit was a great experience. The coaches and the facilities are top notch. Everything about the visit went good,” he said.
Clearly the Cowboys were also pleased with the combo guard. “I had a home visit tonight with Wyoming,” Conti said. “The in-home visit went good as well. Scott Duncan, the assistant [coach] came to my house to meet my parents and talk to them.”
In addition to visiting his parents, Conti said that Coach Duncan also went to his high school and spoke with head coach Paul Gilvary.
Conti said he also has an offer from Quinnipiac and is planning to take an official visit this week. “After that, I will most likely be making my decision [between Wyoming and Quinnipiac],” said the senior.
